This run is one that members of the Fresh Start Posse will probably repeat each year. The enjoyment of spending time with friends and family, combined with the atmosphere created by such a wonderful event that raises money for a wonderful cause, helps to make this a posse event that may well become a tradition for the Fresh Start Posse.

Labor Day Weekend 2008, Stephanie, Jan and Chris took a trip to Pittsburgh to participate in the Gatorade/Steelers 5K Run. They headed out on Sunday afternoon and spent the afternoon and evening before the race with Stephanie's family in Steubenville.
Stephanie's mom cooked up a very nice Italian pre-race pasta dinner for all of them the evening before the race.
Race day saw over 2200 runners participating in the run that raised money for scholarships for the underpriviledged in the Pittsburgh area. The run started outside Heinz field and wound around the streets of downtown Pittsburgh. To finish the race, posse members ran through the tunnel that enters on to Heinz field and, with runners' images projected on the stadium's big screen, finished on the warning track inside the stadium.
Stephanie's mom, sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew were all there at the finish line to cheer on the posse runners as they entered the stadium and crossed the finish line.
